www.dissolve-kidney-stones.com Kidney stones are hard, stone-like masses that can form in one or both kidneys. Also known as nephrolithiasis, urolithiasis or renal calculi. They vary in size from as small as a grain of sand to as large as a golf ball. Kidney stones typically leave the body in the urine stream; if they grow relatively large before passing, their jagged crystalline shape can cause severe pain in the ureters and urethra.
I recently went for my annual pap, my urine sample showed a trace of blood. They sent me to a Urologist for further testing. When the Urologist did a urine sample, blood was present at a level 1 (4 being the worst). I was sent to the hospital for an x-ray to see if it’s a kidney stone, nothing showed. He "felt around" and didn’t find any lumps, says he doesn’t think it’s any kind of growth because I’m 29 and a non-smoker. Now he wants to run another test, which involves running a tube up to my bladder to see if anything is going on. My only symptom is that a urinate a little more frequently than usual. The problem is I don’t have any insurance, and these office visits and tests are ridiculous costs. What should I do, keep going or just forget it? Any kinds of natural cures for clearing out your urine stream?
I have multiple back pain issues so I have constant pain in that area. Since Sunday evening I had increasing pain on the lower left side of my back. Last night as the evening progressed, the pain moved into the area that would feel like menstrual cramps. I’ve had a hysterectomy so that’s not what it was. It was in the same exact place though.
At midnight, I was so miserable I decided it had to be urinary. I have some burning most of the time since my hysto. It was getting a little more than usual at that time as well. I figured to save my husband from taking me to the ER, I sent him out for AZO urinary pain pills. I was able to sleep through the night and made a dr. appt for thursday. I have been relatively comfortable today with the AZO and my back pain meds.
I just went to urinate. My urine flow has seem a little slow today but not really noticeable. I was urinating and all the sudden I had a bad burst of burning pain and my urine stream increased quickly. I am wondering if I passed a kidney stone. I have had one before but the pain was farther up my back and I ended up passing it/them unnoticed.
As I said, I do have an appt with my GP tomorrow so please no answers telling me to see a dr. I am, I am just curious tonight.
