my dog is on a strict diet, a kidney stone prone maltese, but we keep finding her eating out of the litter box! what do we do? she has been getting very sick, and we need to keep her away from it! we need to cut off access from my dog to the litter box, while keeping access to the litter box for my cat? please help!
@ Bobbie L. uhh, yeah, it kind of does, if you would have read the whole question, she is a maltese/shi tzu mix. she is as small as my cat. they are .exactly the same size in fact. so i would leave your bad attitude in your pocket until someone who is actually offending you comes along, so how bout you dont use it all up on people who are actually seeking your help, an idea?

I’m young and thin, and have a good diet, drink lots of water, but I found out I have multiple kidney stones in both kidneys (and unexplained severe insomnia), do kidney stone flushes really work?

Have you seen results? I will have to use them long term for life.

I will be having shock waves in a few weeks if I can get appt.

In the future, I need herbs to stop formation of them before they turn to stones. So far diet change (I’ve eliminated so many things, I figured this would work), water, …is not working and I need extra help.

Are there any ayurvedic herbs or supplements that can help?

The urologist says I should not be getting them and thinks it is probably 3 different types forming.

I stopped low dose B-vitamins (50% RDA), and the extra B-2 (for migraines, worked great though!), and Phosphadyl serine (PS) supplements last month in case they worsened it? Could PS do that?

I am a student, so money is tight. in herbs a month is not possible.
Kelle- You are acting like I am overdosing or something and taking a bunch of things, and I barely took any, now I take none.

I asked for herbs and flushes to help bc I believe nature has an answer. But I wanted peoples experience who have this problem, not someone who is anti. Obviously I have been following guidelines and advice, and it is not working. I would like something natural in hopes it helps me, and I can avoid more stones and avoid lifelong Rx drugs that have side effects. I had crystals as long ago as 4 yrs ago. Have you ever had a stone?

I have to follow a strict diet and they told me to take a vitamin complex. They are low dose so I didnt get stomach problems and to help my body. I already went off them.

PS was added for memory and concentration bc I have always had problems with that area since I was 3. I am a student and hoped it would help my brain, like fish does. It did not say it could cause stones. But I went off that as well just in case it did.

If you change you diet to low oxalate foods and drink juices high in citrate like lemon juice or lemon aid. can a kidney stone dissolve over time and just disappear? one dr. says no another says yes. who is right? i have a 5mm stone stuck in my ureter and 6 smaller ones in my kidney. The dr. wants to let it pass on its own but i don’t think its moving. it has been two weeks. pain remains in the same place. i am worried about the 6 stones that are still in the kidney. x-ray only shows one 2mm stone 4 inches above the bladder. and no ware else. ct scan dose not show any stone near bladder and one 5 mm stone 4 inched below the kidney and 6 more in the kidney itself grouped in an area a 3mm x 8mm the stones them selves are 2mm or less. i don’t have insurance and im unemployed. so i cant afford any kind of surgery. if i stick to my strict diet will stones go away or will i have to painfully pass every last one of them?

okay maybe im just over sensitive…. but i was in a lot of pain and on sat they said they think i had kidney stones i had everything pointing to that blood in the uring pain and all this other stuff and my mom personally thinks i passed it or it’s my gall bladder which my doctor at emerg thought as well today just i dont have pain where it is but everything points to it. well as soon as he walked in he said WOW you big all over for 14 weeks! i couldn’t believe it. with my son i gained about 70 lbs this time i haven’t gained a pound….but my belly is huge well to me…i have always struggled on my weight since my first pregnacy when i was 17 ….which makes this one number 3…..so am i really that big or is it just he was kinda a jerk….he didnt even really listen to me about my pain and concern at all just called me fat as soon as he walked in and told me to go home and take tylenol and thats it. so now im worried i am huge today i am extremly bloated i gained 3 pounds of water since last night and my hands are very swollen but doesn’t give him the right to say wow your big for 14 weeks and its all around….am i being too sensitive or am i big now lets be honest i can handle it…..i haven’t been excersizing bc i had high bp with my son and lots of complications and have been on a strict diet.please see the pictures below i took them today right as i was posting these……i have looked at pics online and lots of woman look the same….im 53 54 and im only 144 was i 140 i think when i conceived bc i was really thirsty and in one day gained 4 lbs and stayed there and im almost 15 weeks now……thanks in advance and please be honest please i know i am chubby with a little fat…….thanks girls xoxoxoxoxo

And i am still 144 i go from 142 to 144 in the mornings since at night isn’t accurate i weight myself every morning and keep track due to my gestational diabetes last time and all my complications.(as stated in my question i have been 144 since i found out at 2 weeks and i’m now 14 weeks)
see i think it’s mostly bloating bc some mornings it’s gone and im back at 142 but im average 144…..but i dont feel i am gaining like last time people dont recongnize me in old pictures a lot of people wont accept my id bc they dont believe it’s me. and i worked hard to lose that 70 lbs plus more before i got pregnant and i didnt think i was that bad until the doctor said something then my mind just went crazy….thanks to all the girls so far bc of you i wont have to force myself to eat ice cream lol xo

my nefue last year got really sick. first he had strep throat and all of his throat swelled up from the inside out and then all of a sudden his ankle started swelling up too, and these red spots that were identified by the doctor as burst blood vesseles apeared all over his face and through out the rest of his body. after he was rushed to the hospital the doctor told us that my 4 yr old nefue had kidney stones, and he was peeing blood. and the reason he was peeing blood was because his intestines were some how "i think" digesting the blood that his body was making. and he ended up in intensive care for several months. we dont know how he got it or what caused it, and niether do the doctors. we had him checked out by 5 specialists. and they couldnt figure out how or why he got the way he was. the doctor put him on 2 types of meds. the first type of medication he gave him was something for his blood pressure. and then the 2nd kind was steroids to calm his body down. after that my nefue was put on a very strict diet do to his medication and his current symptoms.the doctor told us to be carefull because there is a chance it will come back. so we went the whole year with no signs of anyt thing. than all of a sudden april comes along again and the same symptoms begin to occur all over again. i am very scared, his mother and i already nottified the doctor, but i just wanted to know if anyone had any expireience with this and if they know anything about it plz let me know whats going on and why did it decide to come back the next year on the same exact month as it happened before? im really worried, cuz what ever he has attacks his amune system really bad. i want everything to be okay. plz help me…
