This sucks… I have terrible heartburn right now. I feel like my throat is full of a burning sour thickness. I have been drinking water and took two Zantac and it hasn’t helped at all. Are there any natural remedies I can try since I already took a double dose of medicine?

P.S. The heartburn is caused from taking too much pain relievers recently. I am under treatment for kidney stones, which are very painful and the only medicine that helps is Advil but it tears my stomach up. I am laying off of the pain medicine for now but how can I make this feel better?!

I may have a kidney stone, and I do have a history of kidney stones for the past 15 years. I did have lithroipsy treatments, which is shock wave, (or better known as ESWL) in 1996, 1999, 2002, and in 2003, which blasts the stone in to sand. The urogolist who used to do my care for my kidney stones (he retired 2 in a half years ago)would get X-Rays, for KUB, which will check my kidneys, and finds out whether or not I have a stone or not, and it shows a small shadow where the stone is. The doctor, who took his place would like me to have a CAT scan, and before the procedure, I have to drink this awful tasting medicine, which coats my stomach, and highlights my kidneys or something, and I never had a CAT scan done before, I am not scared, but curious why I need a CAT scan, what’s the difference between a CAT scan and a plain X-Ray? I like to know.

I had pain that was sometimes strong but nothing so horrible. I still get slight pain on my right side but mostly cramping throughout my whole stomach and more pain on my left side and left pelvic area. Could I have passed the stone and not know it? Why am I still getting cramping and backache but not the strong pains as before?

I almost always feel bloated/full…even when I don’t eat much. I’m 5’2", about 120 lbs. I do weight more now than I usually do, but would just a few lbs create such a bloated feeling?

It’s like my stomach is distended. I can’t suck it in for the life of me…unless my stomach is completely empty. I know for a fact I’m not pregnant or anything. I did have a UTI and I currently have 2 kidney stones. Would the kidney issues make me so bloated? It’s annoying– and my clothes aren’t very flattering because of my stomach being so distended.

what might cause this? how can i make it go away?
