I have a UTI and I wanted to get treatment right away, BUT it has taken me almost a week to find a free urgent care place to go to (I have Medicaid and there were no doctors in my area which would accept my plan) and I am going to go tomorrow morning, the only problem is I experienced severe back pain yesterday and although it seems to have dissipated, I have had a pretty bad headache all day today, I keep having to take more and more Advil for it.
My actual UTI has gotten better due to massive intake of cranberry juice, not all better but it hardly burns at all when I urinate and I have less need to urinate in-between the times I am using the restroom. But from reading posts here and other places, you need antibiotics to fully cure this, so I am off tomorrow to get some.
So my question is, with the back pain and (possible) fever is it now for sure a kidney infection???? I really cannot afford a hospital stay. Which I have read may be necessary.

The doctor gave me pain pills and said just drink lots of water and try to pass it. Is there anything i can do for the severe back pain? It keeps me awake all night and being pregnant makes me tired enough so the lack of sleep isn’t helping =( please please please…..does anyone have any advice?

I am trying to determine if I have kidney stones. I had a urinary tract infection and was given two courses of antibiotics. I then ended up on the ER 5 days ago with a kidney infection. I had severe back pain and was vomiting all day. I have been taking two different antibiotics for five days now and my back pain is getting unbearable and I am now wetting myself without even realizing it. Can this be a signs of kidney stones? Should I go back to the ER?

I went to ER due to severe back pain and found out that I have a 2mm kidney stone. The Doctor told me that I can pass it out naturally in a few days. It’s been 4 days now and I am still in pain & the stone is still not out yet even though I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water everyday (at least a gallon a day). I don’t want to take too much of motrin & Tylenol for the pain but I don’t have a choice. Could someone please tell me how to pass it out quickly. Thank you very much and God bless you.
