I was rushed to the hospital yesterday with agonizing pain in my lower back on the left side. The pain was so bad that it was making me throw up uncontrollably. The doctor’s gave me some meds and the pain went away for a nice while, but he said that I’d just have to let it pass.
Now..I have no idea what he really means. I mean, do I have to push it out, or is it just gonna come out when I go pee? They gave me a strainer to pee in, but it’s been over 24hrs and I just wanna now how to get rid of this thing! I’ve been drinking lotsa water and cranberry juice…
Oh, and I’m a girl so this is one more question for ladies: I was able to take the pain (sorta) for 3 hours without pills (cause I threw up the pills) is this worse or less painful than labor/giving birth?
Right now I’m having a LOT of pain in my back, and it feels like my kidneys. This happens every now and then and I’ve always wondered if it could be kidney stones but then I never feel anything when I go to the restroom. Do you actually feel it passing when you pee? Do you always know when it happens? And is that where you feel your pain when you are passing one? What other symptoms do you get? (Sorry for all of the questions and thank you so much to anyone who can help).
I have a appointment today to get a 12 mm kidney stone broken up, I heard the procedure don’t hurt but what about when you have to pee out the fragments, thank you.
