My dog is sick. It started 3 weeks ago when he wouldn’t pee – brought him into the vet and they removed a mucus plug, but the next weekend, he was back to the same issue. Again they removed a mucus plug and suggested an ultrasound. We scheduled one. The next weekend, he was doing better on acidic meds to break up what they thought were beginning kidney stones. He was doing okay so they canceled the ultrasound. Then, in the middle of the week, he had a complete turn around. Now he couldn’t stop himself from peeing!!! And it was happening to the point where he’d piss and then just lay in his own pee because he was so lethargic. He started throwing up. We brought him back into the vet and they put him on anti-inflamatory’s and new food (C/D diet) because we thought that was the problem. Now his potty problems seem to have disappeared – but he’s still incredibly lethargic and is puking ALL the time. I am running out of money to bring him in. He’s also got slimy stuff from his mouth.

and the meds I’m on are giving me a really bad headaches, what should I do? I’m taking ONDANSETRON 8mg, CIPROFLOXACIN 500mg, OXYCODONE 7.5-325 mg, &FLOMAX 0.4mg also my kidney area is still tender feeling.

Help! My Mom was on the bathroom floor last night screaming in pain, because she has a kidney stone. She doesn’t want to go to the hospital, because last time she was there, they put her on bad meds, and plus, she just doesn’t like the enviornment. She is on some pain killers, and she is in her bed now, trying to get some sleep. Will she be okay? What should I do? What should I expect/know??? I am praying for her….

My Mom has a kidney stone(s) right now, and last night she was on the floor screaming in pain. We don’t exactly know how big it is, but, when she passes it, I heard that it hurt so much, like child birth! I need some suggestions for main meds when she is passing it. I am looking for a medication that is very trustworthy, and takes a lot of pain out of it. Also, if you can, would you please list some things I should expect when she passes it? Thank you so much. My five year old female Shihtzu just came home today from having bladder surgery to remove kidney stones. She has been prescribed Hill’s C/D prescription diet. I have given her the canned and the kibbles and she really hates it and will not eat it. I have also purchased the treats. She does like the treats but won’t eat anything else.
Is there anyone out there that has had a similar situation. If so what did you feed your dog? I do not want the kidney stones to come back so I have to be very strict with her diet.
I just worry bc she is not eating. I have to give her meds and usually put the meds in her food. She won’t eat.
I have tried warming up the food, she wont touch it. Worried…
