i have kidney stones. the last time i had them was in March and i didnt catch one. I just recently found out i have them again. It so painful and idk what i could be doing to keep getting them. whenever im in the hospital i stay doped up so i cant really ask these questions….im 15 and could really use some advice

Many sites say to cut back on animal protein. I’m already vegan, can’t cut back any further than that! I cut my coffee back to less than a cup a day. My dark soda intake is negligible (I might indulge once or twice a month), and I don’t drink very much other soda.
Last time I was able to have a stone tested, it was those damn oxalates.
I can’t take much more of this, I’d rather be stabbed once a month.

Is it possible to pass a kidney stone without excruciating pain? Like if the stone is small? or does it always hurt really bad?
I’ve had kidney stones 3 times in the past 3 years and every time its been the worst pain ever.
But right now i have a pain in my side that’s not unbearable, i feel nauseous, and im really hot but my skin is cold. And i just got a random pain out of no where that feels like a bladder infection. These are all the symptoms i get when i have kidney stones except the pain is usually 100 times worse.

All three times the pain has woken me up and then started real bad. So is it possible that its just the beginning of one and the pain is going to get worse? I don’t know how it feels before you pass a stone because im always sleeping. Or is it just a really small one?

Sorry this is confusing and not worded good. Im in too much pain to concentrate. =/
its near the back on my right side. exactly where my other stones have hurt. Last time my doctor gave me a prescription for vicodin incase i got one. Someone stole it from me tho. I only have one left. =[

I’ve had them for years and everytime I have them, I have to have surgery. I’m sick of surgeries! This time I got them again and I go to the doctor in a few weeks to be sure they haven’t gotten bigger and I don’t want to have another surgery. Isn’t there another treatment that the doctor can do to treat the kidney stones, large or small? Why do doctors always want to do surgery as if it’s a cool thing to do, cutting people up? I get too nervous weeks before the surgery, I hate being put to sleep or being sedated, I hate having to be put up with all the monitors and blood pressure and stuff. Most of the time, it’s outpatient except the last time it was inpatient but I still hate it. Can’t I go to China or something for other treatments that America don’t have?
Um ok but is there anything that does sound familar that I can try? I never heard of those strange ingredients. Where do I get those? Are they expensive?

Help! My Mom was on the bathroom floor last night screaming in pain, because she has a kidney stone. She doesn’t want to go to the hospital, because last time she was there, they put her on bad meds, and plus, she just doesn’t like the enviornment. She is on some pain killers, and she is in her bed now, trying to get some sleep. Will she be okay? What should I do? What should I expect/know??? I am praying for her….
