i get it a lot when im sick (flu/cold..ect) its just this pain in one kidney usually (feels like kidney could be something else im not a doctor) and i usually just ignore it but this time its a lot worse. its in both kidneys and its this crazy throbbing pain that matches my heartbeat (kind of feels like my heart is connected to my kidneys and its trying to pop them, lol nice metaphor huh?) that happens when i sit down, lay down, switch sides while sleeping, and pretty much any other movement. I got some throat sickness or bacteria about a week ago (it went around my family) then it immediately turned into this kidney pain, fever, and achy body + headache. I don’t really want to make a big deal about it unless its pretty serious…. any ideas??
I doubt it’s kidney stones, I don’t drink or smoke, i did for about a month or two but got over that phase pretty fast and i’m 16 (don’t think thats a very ideal age for kidney stones). But I’ll keep that possibility in the back of my head. Thanks though for the help…. just in case, can you describe her symptoms?
oh and it was weed not cigarettes.
oh, also, it’s in both kidneys which is another thing that makes me think it isn’t kidney stones. It’s probably possible to get them in both just not very probable with my age and background. lol I thought about this a lot before asking. And I do drink a lot of water so you can rule that out too.

My father has kidney failure and I am worried about his Venous catheter access.I understand this type of catheter is prone to infections and blood clot When they did vein mapping on his lower arms he failed on both. The return blood flow was very slow. Are there other veins they might consider besides the one strait from his heart? This has been very stressful on him and myself as well He’s had four treatments And I’ve noticed a considerable change in him.His good days out number his bad ones. I just want him to be comfortable and happy.

Everyday I feel dehydrated and I need to take more water. I even feel as though I could feel my kidneys—like a poking sensation. I have had a history of kidney stones and medication has dissolved them. I told a doctor about my kidneys… but I don’t think he understands. He doesn’t check my heart as I thought he would, nor does he request to get kidneys x-rayed. He is a doctor so I guess I should trust him?

My mother-in-law has a large stone in the kideny, but due to a bad heart she can not have surgery. I’m trying to find remedys to dissolve a large stone in the kidney, but I’m a bit worried that if something "works" and she tries to pass it, but it is too big it’ll cause more problems than if she just puts up with it.

I’m on my second round with kidney stones. Last time I ended up in the ER until they passed but this time the pain is not as bad. It started 5 days ago and they STILL have not come out. I have 2 in my left ureter tube. I’m drinking my heart out with tons of water and peeing every 5 minutes and nothing. Is there an average time it takes to flush them out? With my last batch, I woke up with sever pain, went to the hospital and they passed the next day. Any suggestions?
