My health is terrible. i have pots syndrome bad. but let me go back in time and name my health problems in order. it gets confusing so try to keep up. alright. i was always in perfect health my whole life untill 3 years ago. i started to develop acid reflux. 6 moths later i started to develop costochondritis. some time after that osteoauthritis builds up in my chest and spreds to the shoulders. after that kidney stones start. after that pots syndrome starts to develop slowley. now in present day time i have pots so bad i cant even really move around my house. now after some reserch i learned. that acid reflux can cause costochondritis. the costo. can cause athritis. people with certail types of authritis can develop kidney stones as the body tries to filter out the calcium in the joints. and some types of authritis can be responsible for triggering pots syndrome. so call me crazy but i think my entire health problem can be blamed on acid reflux. it sees a little out thare yes but to me it makes perfect since. i eat way to much at one time and i keep snacking all day. ie at way more than i should in a day. and i cant work so i am poor. so the food i eat is all prepackaged junk. i think if i change my diet and invest in nothing but good healthy foods and no bad foods at all. over time i will get better. do you think i am right? or am i just nutz?

My friend has 2 cats. One of them grew horribly ill a few days ago, vomiting & hiding & not letting them touch him. The other is still healthy, but obese.

They took the sick one to the vet & are now 00+ in debt for his treatment of kidney/liver failure.
I can’t know what caused this health problem, but they never leave water out for their cats. The cats only have toilet water to drink out of, and the litter box only gets cleaned out every month or so.

I feel bad because she’s now mourning the loss of a dear family member, and in debt because of his illness. I don’t want to add an unnessecary sense of guilt to her grief, but they still have another cat… and still not putting out fresh water or cleaning the litter box regularly.
I’m torn between my concern for my friend’s mental health (she has been prone to depression) and my concern for the health of her other cat.
Do I tell her now?
Do I wait to talk to her about my feelings regarding her animal care?
Do I keep my mouth shut?

I have a 19 year old cat who has NEVER had a health problem, never been to the vet except for the annual checkup and shots, eats Orijen kibble and raw food. Lately I’ve noticed him getting a bit slower, drinking a lot of water.. he is booked for a vet appointment on Thursday.. could this be kidneys? If so what treatment is there?

I’ve been seeing an older guy for a few months now, he has been married before and has a few kids. well, he’s actually had kids with 3 different women. With me being in my mid 20′s and him being, well 52, it seems like its wrong, but it doesnt feel wrong. His two oldest daughters are my age and I spend a lot of time with the other, we hang out quite a bit cause we’re similar and share the same interests and get along well. I get along with all of his kids, I actually like having kids around and cant wait to have my own! There are several positives to dating an older man. My friends dont think it makes much sense because its not the type of guy in the looks dept that i would normally go for. I actually think he looks older than his age, but its because of his beard, which has a little grey in it. He’s probably not as healthy as young guy my age, maybe not as hot either, but is more responsible and caring. His only major health problem is kidney stones. I know he said he’s passed over 15 stones and he has passed 1 since ive been dating him. He said doctors dont really know why he keeps getting them, he’s changed his diet, drinks more water and stuff, but still ends up peeing out a kidney stone every once in awhile. I really like this man and want to have a baby with him.

The house we live in is the only place she has lived in her 14 years and I am worried that it will age her because of moving to unfamiliar surroundings. Her only existing health problem is a small kidney stone which is monitered when she goes to the vet about every two months, and she is on a healthy prescription diet.
