My dog’s vet is currently out of town and about a month ago he had bladder stone surgery. They changed his diet completely and now he is on specific food to keep his pH levels in his urine normal to prevent the stones from coming back. All of the sudden he starts urinating clear. He stopped eating store-bought treats and drinks a lot of water and eats peas for a treat. I talked to a different vet who I am not familiar with and she took his urine yesterday and said his urine is extrememly diluted which is bad. Then she kept going on and on that he could have kidney failure, a tumor, or some kind of hormone disease!!! I was like hold on a minute here!!! He just had a full blood work up done a month ago and all of his organs are working fine and he’s totally healthy besides the stones that were removed. I think she hasn’t had too much experience it seemed. So after looked in his chart and noticed this, she had a change of heart on all the tests she wanted to perform. I told her, listen, I am not a vet whatsoever, but don’t you think it’s kind of a coinsidence that my dog starts urinating clear after being on this new diet? I feel like he is not getting the other nutrients he needs. My dog used to eat meat everyday (Beneful Ready Meals) and now hes like on a canned diet and only drinks water and eats peas! So she looked at me and said I’m going to have to call an internist and see if this is normal from the food. Then she sent me home! How do you tell someone their dog could be diseased and then send them home!?! She was supposed to call me today and never did! So now I’m worried and concerned because I don’t know what to think or believe and my vet doesn’t get back until next week. I searched this clear urine problem online and I get mixed answers. I read it’s good because his body is flushed out and then I read it’s a sign of kidney problems because the kidneys are not flushing the urine out properly. So now what? I can’t sleep and this is my only hope to find an answer. My Aunt’s dog recently died from kidney failure and it was so tramatizing to me, so ….PLEASE HELP!

Okay… so since last Friday (not this JUST passed Fri, the one before) I haven’t taken a GOOD poo. I’ve only had a couple little poos here and there throughout the week. My diet hasn’t changed so I don’t know why I’ve been so constipated exlax, cranberry juice, apple cider, warm water… nothing has worked. I have had SOME relief, but I still feel backed up. And it’s burned once when I went pee, but that’s it so far.
Now that the TMI part is out of the way…

Every time I push, I am in HORRIBLE pain right above my vagina mostly on the left side, and in my lower back. Sorta where my ovary is I guess. It feels like my insides are about to explode. I’ve felt horrible the past 2 days with a dull pain in my lower back and on my left side under my ribs. Also random TERRIBLE shooting pains through my back and stomach area.
I really don’t want to go to the ER because I don’t have heath insurance at the moment. I’ve been waiting to here back from my state health insurance but boy do they take forever! I’ve done some research online and it seems like everything points to kidney stones, but I’ve never had them before so I have no idea. If it gets worse I will go to the ER but I’d like to have a slight idea what to tell them I think is wrong when I go in.

my husband is having really bad kidney stone pains right now. we’ve already gone to the ER, and they said it’s almost to his bladder. today, he’s been in alot of pain and feeling very sick to his stomach, but he isn’t running a fever as far as we know.
we’ve given him just about every pain killer in the house, but it hasn’t helped a bit. he says it feels a lot different than the kidney stones he had several years ago, like it’s trying to tare him up, or something like that.
does anyone have any suggestions on what to do!? i don’t know what to do other than sit next to him.

I went into my local ER on a Thursday. They said I had a 7mm kidney stone. They gave me pain meds and a strainer and sent me home. Well Sunday the pain meds were not helping anymore at all. The pain was excruciating so I went back. I had a different dr the second time and he said it was border line having surgery. He sent me home with stronger pain meds a new stainer and said if it doesn’t pass by Tuesday or Wednesday then I will probably have to have surgery. Today is Tuesday and The pain meds are gone and it still hasn’t passed. I do not want to have the surgery I have 3 kids and can’t afford a baby sitter and my husband can’t afford to take off work to help. Any body know ANYTHING I can do to help it pass. I HAVE been drinking LOTS of water and it obviously hasn’t helped. Please I am in pain and need help

I have now passed 4 kidney stones within my life time and I am only 22 years old. Yesterday I went to the hospital passed a kidney stone from my right kidney, but was told I still had one that was in my left kidney. I also have a UTI, yeast infection, and a kidney infection. How can I get this stone moving so I can pass it. I have been drinking ALOT of water and cranberry juice. What else can I do
The stone has not started moving. It is still in my kidney. I am not feeling any pain from it so I know it hasn’t started moving. The doctors have told me it is a small stone. The doctor said I should wait 3 days and if I haven’t passed it by then I need to go back.
