My weekend.
Dissolve and pass your kidney stones pain free
My weekend.
I had a CT scan last monday and they found no stones ( I have had 22 in the last 18 months). But today 10 days later and after having a sever stomach flu I am having what feels like kidney stone pain. Could one have formed the quickly?
i began to have lower abdominal pains earlier today, about 9 hours ago.
at first i thought maybe it was just menstrual pain, because i usually get those cramps before my period rather than during.
but the pain has moved up to around my belly button and a little above
the pain has not ceased since it began, only when i curl into a fetal position or stand completely still does it slightly ease up.
it almost feels like a flu stomach ache. i feel like i do when i have the flu and get diarrhea, but at the same time its more of a muscle cramp feeling.
the pain has been all around my belly button and lower abdominal area. it hurts to walk, as if with every step i take something inside is bouncing.
i took a hot shower, which didn’t help, i ate pickles, which didn’t help (pickles usually make ease my stomach).
it feels like i’m trying to digest a bunch of rocks.
i’m a sixteen year old female. i have two weeks exactly until i’m supposed to start my period, i haven’t eaten anything out of the ordinary for my usual diet.
i’m thinking maybe a kidney stone(s). if you have any idea of what it might be, even if you agree with me, please let me know.
thanks so much
i get it a lot when im sick (flu/cold..ect) its just this pain in one kidney usually (feels like kidney could be something else im not a doctor) and i usually just ignore it but this time its a lot worse. its in both kidneys and its this crazy throbbing pain that matches my heartbeat (kind of feels like my heart is connected to my kidneys and its trying to pop them, lol nice metaphor huh?) that happens when i sit down, lay down, switch sides while sleeping, and pretty much any other movement. I got some throat sickness or bacteria about a week ago (it went around my family) then it immediately turned into this kidney pain, fever, and achy body + headache. I don’t really want to make a big deal about it unless its pretty serious…. any ideas??
I doubt it’s kidney stones, I don’t drink or smoke, i did for about a month or two but got over that phase pretty fast and i’m 16 (don’t think thats a very ideal age for kidney stones). But I’ll keep that possibility in the back of my head. Thanks though for the help…. just in case, can you describe her symptoms?
oh and it was weed not cigarettes.
oh, also, it’s in both kidneys which is another thing that makes me think it isn’t kidney stones. It’s probably possible to get them in both just not very probable with my age and background. lol I thought about this a lot before asking. And I do drink a lot of water so you can rule that out too.
So, to celebrate the beginning of the weekend, I came down with a really nasty stomach flu on Saturday. I’m getting better, but one thing has remained pretty constant throughout–I’m having moments of sharp, shooting pain in my kidneys. It hurts! Does this happen with the stomach flu (I haven’t had it since I was four), or have I possibly been lucky enough to pick up a kidney infection, too? Thanks for any help.
