I had an emergency and the VA expects me to travel 1 1/2 hrs to the VA ER. And that any reasonable person would not go to the ER for treatment of kidney stones anyway. I have a letter from my specialist who states that a lot of people go to the ER for this and that traveling 1 1/2 hrs away is unreasonable for someone to travel, especially when there is an ER 10 minutes away. If I would have blockage, then it could do damage to my kidney, or maybe even life threatening. I tried to get in the local VA clinic a few days before the ER because I suspected something was wrong, but the stupid people canceled my appt. because they didnt have any paperwork filled out by me for that year. Gee I wonder what happened to the paperwork I received in the mail and filled out back in February of this year. Did the lose it? I went to the VA clinic & filled out the same paperwork in person that I had already mailed in b4 this happened. MOST people who work in the VA dont know what they are doing.

I was diagnosed with a kidney stone a few days ago. I passed it yesterday afternoon, and now I have a burning sensation during urination. Is this just a residual effect from the passing of the stone or may it be something else that I should get checked out? And how long roughly does the burning generally last afterward if it’s normal?

My kitten’s right kidney was removed one month and a half ago.A few days ago she started moaning and rolling around.Sensing something was wrong I took her to the vet.Tests were made urine,blood and others,results:her only kidney was getting bigger since it’s working more. She’s under treatment and vet.says that it’ll get better but there aren’t many cases like this in my country which I can compare with and I’d like to know more about it.I’m really CONCERNED!

My mom has recently had chemo, radaiton & surgery for colon ca. She keeps having to go back to hosp. after vomiting a lot & told she has no renal functon. She gets better after a few days of treatment, but is it normal to have renal failure & get better? Are there oral treatments?

ive had a 3mm and 2mm years ago it didnt hurt when it came out just a few days before.i now have a 1mm stone in each kidney do u think this will be as painful as the bigger ones?
