My father had a history of kidney stones for the past ten years. He was gone through two procedures before to get these stones from his kidney out using the lithotripsy option, which was described to be very painful but it did not get rid of the problem. He has again diagnosed with another kidney stone and the doctors suggested lithotripsy again. We are very concern and we are seeking other alternatives other than this same procedures that have been conducted before. The stone is about 8mm, considered big. If you have any answers or suggestions as to ways or other alternatives other than the two procedures above that are safe and less painful, please let me know. We need answers as soon as possible before he has to go through surgery in the next couple of weeks and the doctors are calling to schedule an appointment for his surgery already. Thank you so much. I hAd a UTI over three years ago while being preggo of my second child.. When I was 5 months preggo of my 3rd child I was told I had a lipoma tumor in my right kidney..well I ha the baby and it has passed 10 months since I had her and I still have not seened a doctor for this tumor..because I have been running around with all three kids which 2 are autistic to doctors like every week but my health keeps getting worst.. Everyday that passes I have more and more symptoms of kidney failure.. So my question is how long does it take for a kidney to be at the least functioning level? And what are the symptoms?

I have been suffering from this disease for the past 15 years and it seems that the stones are coming out but not getting over as they are reproduced weeks after weeks, I have tried allot of medicines from many doctors and now I am too tired of this disease, therefore I am here asking on what to do to get rid of the kidney stones???
