She told me not to be surprised if they put me in the hospitol to control the pain better and put me on an iv to flush it out. What do you think? Any experience? I just found out on monday night @ ER so my doc hasn’t seen me yet.
If a kidney stone does it take a long time to pass? I dont feel sick just a dull constant pain on my lower right back side. Think I should just wait it out?

But I have had them before and it feels like them again but the pain is always there but much worse when I move around.My doc didn’t take X-rays to rule them out just the urine test.Any ideas what this could be if not kidney stones?
Doc said there was no infection either.
I have a kidney stone of size 3mm, My Doc gave me some medicines(rather painkillers) and advised me to have at least 3 to 4 liters of water a day , avoid spinach and other green leafy vegetables and colas .I have also been diagnosed with mild hydronephrosis . The Doc says that its due to the stone . Essentially what I want to know is how does one know when a kidney stone is trying to pass.
I was diagnosed in the ER last night with a 3mm kidney stone. Doc. had me urinate through one of those filter things, which I’ve been doing. I noticed a tiny little thing that looks like a pine needle, but for that reason I’m not sure if it’s really the stone or not. What do kidney stones look like and is it possible to pass one without even knowing it?
