I have a 90 yr old aunt under our care in assisted living. She is doing well, but doctors tell her that she will eventually have an option to go on dialysis if needed as her kidney function is failing. Breast cancer of 10 yrs ago returned, and she took 3 hormone shots that are once a month. All of a sudden, she just wants to be on meds that she has been on for the last 15 years meaning the blood pressure med and diabetes meds. The new doctors are changing things and she claims she does not feel well and she knows her body. Her body is telling her to stop these new treatments. What will happen if she keeps refusing the new meds and how long does kidney failure take. She is on Phosbo to rid the kidneys of phospherous and is no longer taking the b p med and lasix. She only takes the phosbo and I believe the medication for blood sugar, which is a pill. She is not on insulin. She also does not put in the drops for glaucoma. She self medicates. What is her prognosis and time?

also the person has diabetes, skin cancer, breast cancer, shingles, is on methadone, and 20 other pills from blood pressure, capapril? pacsil, and many others, also was on perocet, fentenal, now on methodone, doctors gave her 5 years to live from cancer going on 11 yrs. doctors also gave her 2 months to live with refusing treatment for kidneys, been 2 months, she also gets sick a lot, throws up blood sometimes, she is my boyfriend’s mother, she refuses home nurses, free care, etc. some web sites say 6 months tops others says many years, how longs before the toxins build up in her system, also she only eats once every three days, refuses food, sick, when she eats its deep fried egg rolls or fried eggs, milk, bread, and she drinks approx. 15-20 cups of instant reg. coffee a day, smokes 5 cartons of ciggs. a month, sometimes she is out of her mind, some days fine, how long is her lifespan? she is 62yr. thanks.

My mother was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma a few weeks ago, she has an 11.6 centimeter mass on her left kidney. She was hospitalized last weekend because they gave her morphine for pain, it dropped her blood pressure extemely low. That is when we found out the cancer had spread to other organs (liver, pancreas, lymph nodes and stomach) the doctors said she would only make it a few weeks to a month. That is when I looked into this cancer center, her insurance has been approved and they want to schedule her flight asap. I just want to know if anyone out there has had good results with ctca? I have a friend who goes with her mother who had breast cancer metasis to her liver and bone who goes to ctca and she said they were great. Are they as wonderful as my friends mom says?
My mom is also doing better now, she’s home from the hospital and she’s not as weeks and she’s eating . My mom says she’s ready to fight this.
