My moms close friend went to the hospital for a kidney stone, they ran a standard blood test and he tested positive for Leukemia. They said it’s very very VERY early stage, if that is, what is the treatment for Leukemia at the first few weeks of it?
It’s an act of God that they found it this early because of the kidney stone… Before he started getting really sick with it…
In the medical field, especial in Ct., it is unusually difficult to be diagnosed for food allergens. Having already graduated med school, many physicians feel that they don’t need to re-educate. This is the sole reason I was left undiagnosed in thee longest recorded survived sprue, without diagnosis. While doing this I held a career in the soft field of drywall taping. The pains emanated by the sprue exceed that of passing kidney stones. I know. I was in full sprue for 22 years undiagnosed. I had every indicator and have all the records of the actual proof of sprue going back 5 years.Until last year, when an unexplained recurrence, barley devastated me financially to actually fight my way through the very simple diagnosis. Even the head of yale said he didn’t think me to be a celiac. I even fought there to have the simple blood test of the HLA DQ2 and the HLA DQ8 genetic modifier test. They even lost 2 of my 2 week times blood test. I went to a local hospital my wife worked in conjunction with, and the first time out and the first time back, my answer I had already knew was there. I was HLA DQ8 postive. The more active of the 2 modifiers in the New York area. This long term sprue left me with painful nerve damage that even the local doctors continue to deny it’s existence. They all seem to furious to even learn the things right in front of their faces. I am continuing to do drywall thanks to my own volitions. I have found the cures to the disease my own doctors almost refuse to acknowledge. I have heard med maryjane help pain and mood swing. Is this true and does high pain qualify me with my malfunction? California and even universities know of my disconfort.Do you think our government so kind is to allow the fibromialgia suffering drywaller a mean to help him make it through the day? Is the only means of relief through addictive pain medicines and mind shrinking antidepressents? Or is Montel Williams an American , where I am not?
In the last 3 years i have had 5 different times were ihave gotten kidney stones. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that I was having flank pain. And immediately I knew that I had a kidney stone. But I figured i would give it time to pass because i have been through all of this before. This past Thursday I was in such unbearable pain at work so I decided to go to the ER after work. There results from test they did were 1 tiny stone in the upper right kidney, a kidney infection, and a urinary tract infection. They told me however that it should not be causing me pain because the kidney stone is still in the top of my kidney and not in my ureter yet. So they sent me on my way with vicodin and NO antibioltics. I go to work on Friday still in terrible pain, but made it through my day. Saturday (today) I wake up and immediately vomit because of all of the pain. I was actually crying this time. I get some vicodin in me and it didn’t help. The pain was to much. So before I call out of work I called a different ER. and asked them that if I come in today if they would have a urologist on hand (because the other ER that I went to had no Urologist within 40 miles of them) before I waste my time driving up there. They said yes. So i get up there and they ask what medicines im on and i tell them vicodin and a couple other medicines I take for anxiety. I get into the ER. room and they do the blood test again and get my cat scan from the previous ER doctor and do a urine test, and hook me up with iv fluids. The nurse comes in and also states that he is giving me an Iv injection of pian medicine. There I wait for the pain to go away. I felt no different from before. A little while later the doctor comes in with an attitude and tells me that he is releasing me. I said ok well what did you find out. He tells me that i have several kidney stones in my upper right kidney and i should be feeling NO pain. And asked if I had an addiction to Vicodin. I chuckled and so No I just got the vicodin on thursday. He said well there is alot of people that hop from ER to ER. I said OK and??? He said maybe you pulled a muscle. I said no I have had many kidney stones before and you just stated to me that I have several so why are you going to insinuate that I have a pulled muscle? No response. Then he asked why didn’t you go see you primary care doctor. I responded with I tried but she is on vacation until the 12 of the month and they have no openings. And I can’t get in to see a urologist until August 20th. He then said well where does it hurt. I told him my flank area on the right side and right under my right rib cage. He said lay down and let me feel your stomach because that is where your gallbladder is located. I layed down and he said well it seems to be fine. But you can come in on moday and get a gallbladder ultrasound and see if you have gall stones. But I’m going to release you. My mother sitting right beside me said well what do you expect her to do about the pain. He said I can give her a non-addictive pain pill. Is that all in a rude voice? I said no I need a doctors note until monday to try and get into the doctor. He said okay and walked out of the room. I was so embarrased and felt so put down by the fact of him insinuating that I had a pill problem and I was ER hopping. I’m pist. So after this long story here is my questions. If you have several kidney stones in your upper right kidney does it hurt? and has anyone had the run around like this? Just give me some comments please. Im ticked. But at the same time I need to figure out what to do.

vet just found a heart murmur and kidney failure. he is doing a urine test and culture tomorrow to determine exactly how bad the kidney failure is, but he believes it is just starting and is mild and can be easily treated. this opinion is based on a blood test.
the only problem the cat has is constipation from the kidney failure dehydrating her.
i questioned the vet on treating her, because of her age and i thought kidney failure could not be treated. he said she is not too old and mild kidney failure can be easily treated, it could be several years before the kidney failure degrades to the point where she cant be helped.
she is active and happy.
i dont have a problem with treating a cat, if the treatment will give her several happy years, but im not going to keep her alive it she is not happy.
has anyone ever heard of kidney failure being treated?

she has always been on a mostly canned food diet. i do leave a bowl of dry out all day.
i fed her the cheap, made in china stuff ,for most of her life, not realizing how bad it was. she now gets "instinct" brand. 95 % meat, no grains.
i will wait to see the results of the test and what vet recommends, but i already know, she will not tolerate injections, IV’s or even pills.
i got her when she was 8 months old, had just weaned her first litter, had many, many owners, and was abused. those scars are still with her, she is a great cat, unless she is in pain, then she hurts you. giving her injections, IV’s and pills all count as pain.
I have also had a pain in my groin docs have not found anything unusual in my ct scansor blood test the pain in my groin has been there for a few months kideny pain just started
