I recently went for my annual pap, my urine sample showed a trace of blood. They sent me to a Urologist for further testing. When the Urologist did a urine sample, blood was present at a level 1 (4 being the worst). I was sent to the hospital for an x-ray to see if it’s a kidney stone, nothing showed. He "felt around" and didn’t find any lumps, says he doesn’t think it’s any kind of growth because I’m 29 and a non-smoker. Now he wants to run another test, which involves running a tube up to my bladder to see if anything is going on. My only symptom is that a urinate a little more frequently than usual. The problem is I don’t have any insurance, and these office visits and tests are ridiculous costs. What should I do, keep going or just forget it? Any kinds of natural cures for clearing out your urine stream?

Ok I’ve been on a low carb diet for about 2 weeks now, so i have been eatting salad like twice a day everyday, now i am having side and back pain, but its on both sides and they don’t hurt at the same time, no blood in urine but i do have to pee all the time, i cannot honestly say i am drinking enough fluids because the only thing i can really drink is water and i’m not a huge fan of just water. So my question is can eating alot of lettuce and stuff like that cause you to develope kidney stones? the pain is not excrusiating but it just started to, any suggestions?
Also can someone give me some symptoms of what a kidney stone feels like? i know that it hurts like hell but is there anything else?

Husband has had terrible pain in abdomen, went to ER, had an MRI diagnosed with kidney stones. Dr. said looks like 2 cm stones should be able to get rid of them. Gave him pain Rx. One week later, still pain and blood in urine. (He’s been drinking more water.) Help.

My fiancee found out he has eleven kidney stones. He started treatment for them about a week ago and just noticed blood and kidney stones in his urine. Is this a normal side effect from treatment?
Are there any other side effects we should look out for?
