Cronic renal failure seems to be what he is headed for. I have been to many of the websites and paid hundreds of dollars in vet bills. I cannot afford a transpant for him. He has some blood in urine has been on antibiotics and is very thirsty. Seems to have no real pain yet. Sometimes he seems to have trouble urinating but his bladder is not distended.

I am now feeding him his dinners as a soup with warm water mixed in his wet cat food to increase his water intake. He likes this very much

Any info you have may help me so let your minds think outside the litterbox

I went to the ER last wednesday not knowing what was wrong – they did a CT Scan & Xray and could not find a kidney stone but told me the tube coming out of my kidney was dialated making them "think" i HAD a kidney stone but passed it while i was waiting on my urine test to come back (blood in urine). If i sit up straight it hurts my back on the left side (where i was hurting when i went to the ER mind you i was in massive pain shaking, sweating, freezing, nauseated…)…….. should i be worried because I took a pain killer they prescribed and i can still feel the pain when sitting up straight. thanks……….
Ok, so maybe I didn’t give good enough details – the LEFT side of my back is hurting despite taking the pain killers. The spot where the doctor told me my kidney would be – not my bladder.

Last Sat and Sun I was nauseous all day. On Monday I started getting this constant pain (sore, tender) on my right side where the kidney is. Later that night I got a sharp, stabbing pain to the left of my belly button that came and went. It was super sore when I touched it. I have been exhausted for 2 weeks straight. I am generally a tired person but I sleep as much as possible now. I go to sleep every day when I get off work. So Thursday I had severe bloating in my pelvic area. I was cramping all day (not on period – it was 1 week before this started) and the kidney pain was sporadic all day. The pain isn’t always bad but I feel it all the time. It’s a lingering tenderness. Sunday night it got really bad again for about 4 hours. I have no problem urinating so I don’t know what it could be. I noticed on Sunday night that the area of my back where the pain is actually looks sunk in. Maybe I never notice it before. Help! I see a doctor tomorrow.
Don’t kidney stones cause problems when urinating and blood in urine?

But I have had them before and it feels like them again but the pain is always there but much worse when I move around.My doc didn’t take X-rays to rule them out just the urine test.Any ideas what this could be if not kidney stones?
Doc said there was no infection either.

I am having severe kidney pain. I went to the Er and they told me that they found a kidney stone but it is lodged and it is not blocking anything and they also said there was blood in urine but there is no sign of infection. He then preceded tell me that this could not be the cause of my pain. Is the doctor right or should I get a second opinion.
