She has either kidney or bladder stones. It hasnt passed with her new diet and she is going into surgery this week. Today she threw up in the morning and just now she peed blood. It wasn’t even pee with little drops of blood. It was completely red. Is this an emergency? Or should I just wait until her appointment this week? Is this normal for stones?

I just adopted two cats from my local humane society. I was told that they had both been wormed. I was also told that the female had bladder stones and was prone to urinary tract infections so I had to keep her on wet food diet for the rest of her life.
After about a week, and two containers of litter, she started peeing all over the house. One day, she squatted right in front of me in the laundry room and peed. I scolded her and put her in the litter box. When I went to clean up the mess, I saw worms in her urine. I was told by the humane society that she had bladder worms, but to be sure, they wanted me to take her to the vet who diagnosed her with kidney stones, at my cost.
All of the research I’ve done on bladder worms says that it’s extremely rare and that there is no treatment/cure. Should I take her to this vet, who is expensive, at my cost if there really is no treatment/cure? Should I give her back to the humane society? Should I worm her myself and hope for the best? Will my other cat get these worms?
I’ve been wavering in my decision for a week now, and I could use the help. Thank you in advance.

My mother has had her gall bladder removed about a month ago, because of the reoccurring stones, and has also had kidney stones in the past. I finally got her to start taking those adult gummy vitamins (better than nothing, cause she hates taking vitamins, makes her sick) now I’m realizing there isn’t any calcium in her diet (nor is there calcium in the regular gummy vitamins), especially at her age (60′s). Can she go ahead and start taking these gummy calcium vitamins with her regular gummy vitamins everyday?

Hello–
My 3 year old Sheltie was just examined today and has 3 to 4 bladder stones. She was given an antibiotic and "Hill’s PRESCRIPTION DIET s/d" to delove the stones over time.
I’ve been doing some reasearch and have found some "herbal" treatments that claim to disolve the stones and are pills NOT food.
Do theses work?
Below are two exaples:
