So my cat had a vet appointment on friday due to an injured ear, but friday morning i also noticed he was going to his litter box and not doing his business which i thought strange. So when we went to the vet i also mentioned this. The vet now has him on three different medications PLUS a Special wet food diet to help hydrate him, and told me to watch him for straining when urinating, crying when urinating, excessive licking of his penis, and or vomiting and not eating. None of those things have been a problem but im still really paranoid because if this small bladder infection gets worse it could become kidney stones which is very expensive for me and painful for him. I have not seen him urinate at all today but i hear cats only pee 1 to 3 times a day…… but i don’t know how to make sure he is even able to urinate. I also heard there is a certain way that a person could push on a cats bladder to make it pee. My question is how do you do that i cant find the answer anywhere online. I just really want to make sure he is able to. He seems much more playful and happy compared to friday or thursday. I just don’t know what do you yahooers think?

Is it possible to pass a kidney stone without excruciating pain? Like if the stone is small? or does it always hurt really bad?
I’ve had kidney stones 3 times in the past 3 years and every time its been the worst pain ever.
But right now i have a pain in my side that’s not unbearable, i feel nauseous, and im really hot but my skin is cold. And i just got a random pain out of no where that feels like a bladder infection. These are all the symptoms i get when i have kidney stones except the pain is usually 100 times worse.

All three times the pain has woken me up and then started real bad. So is it possible that its just the beginning of one and the pain is going to get worse? I don’t know how it feels before you pass a stone because im always sleeping. Or is it just a really small one?

Sorry this is confusing and not worded good. Im in too much pain to concentrate. =/
its near the back on my right side. exactly where my other stones have hurt. Last time my doctor gave me a prescription for vicodin incase i got one. Someone stole it from me tho. I only have one left. =[

Everyday all my 19 yr old female friend eats is plain turkey sandwiches, donuts, soda, and always at LEAST one fast food meal a day(size med) she is on the skinny side as of now, because she only usually eats once or twice a day…but she has been having lots of abdomonal pain, (lower and back) and just had a bladder infection….she is also constipated and may have IBS..and may now have a kidney infection or kidney stones. I try to tell her its from the food she eats but she is just like no its not health probs run in my family blah blah. Any ideas what to do? I know that diet pretty much affects a person’s health. She thinks vegetables and fruit and water are "yucky"

Today I have been having what I would call bladder pains. They occur right around my pubic line and last only a few seconds. They aren’t making me keel over or anything. They are mainly irritating, kind of like a short spasm, like a mild short, stabbing pain. I will get one and a few hours later I get another. At one point, I had about four in a row. Last night, I had a pain on my right lower back. Could I be passing a stone? I have had an attack like this before with a bladder infection but had buring while urinating , and urgency to go. This time I haven’t had any other symptoms but started to drink cranberry juice and lots of water as a precaution. I will wait a day or so before I decide to go to the doc because otherwise I feel great. What do you think it could be?

I am wondering because I know that I have a bladder infection right now and I dont have insurance so I am going to have to go to the hospital for treatment. I have had this infection for about a month I think so how long would it take the bacteria from the bladder infection to travel to the kidneys? Please let me know. Thanks
