I have been diagnosed with having a small kidney stone over nearly 2 weeks ago, I was told to stay at home and it would pass on its own. The last 2 days I have been finding tiny white particles in my urine nearly everytime I pee, the particles are not hard, when you touch them they smudge like a paste. If it was the stone passing would the particles be hard? I also have had slightly more pain the last 2 days in my kidney and by my abdomen and it has been burning a little when I pee today nothing severe yet, just slight discomfort. I have been drinking about 10 glasses of water a day and also a couple of glasses of cranberry juice to flush the stone out. What are the particles? and why do I have the pain in the kidney and a slight burning when I pee? is it the stone moving or possibly passing. Any info I would be grateful, cause the doctors just keep saying it will pass. Thanks

My mother is 41 and going through treatment for Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. We’re on our 3rd treatment and I’d like to get information about the best places to treat kidney cancer as well as the best doctors to see for RCC. Please respond to this if you have any info/feedback.
We are from Michigan. My mom’s cancer is stage 4 and has spread to the lungs (one more than the other) and a little in the abdomen. She’s tried a few different treatments.. (She had a nephrectomy done) 1. Cryotherapy on the lungs where cancer had spread 2. Sutent 3. IL-2 Treatments. Now she’s going through a form of chemo. called Torisol (sp?). I’m just trying to do a little research in case (God forbid) this treatment, like the past ones, does not give us any results.

I went and got this pain in my lower, left abdomen. The doctor told me it’s probably from too much sodium in my diet (like from snacks and soda) or kidney stones. I also have stabbing pains in my stomach once or twice every month, trouble urinating sometimes, and a tightening or warm sensation in my chest area. Are these from a sodium intake or could these be from something else?

I have had an xray of my abdomen, hips and they found a possible kidney stone but don’t know for sure until I get the CT scan. I haven’t had a CT scan yet. They found a 4mm calcification on the outside of my kidney. Do you think they could’ve made a mistake since xrays are not as clear as CT scans?

I passed a kidney stone on Tuesday, I still have been having discomfort sometimes in in my back to side of my abdomen. They took a CT scan, and didn’t mention only 1 stone, so I wasn’t worried about having more. I had one before years ago, passed it pretty quick so I didn’t have any discomfort later. This one took almost 2 days to pass, I know it would most likely cut you with the little barbs as it moves out, but didn’t know how long it might last. They said I didn’t have a UTI so just wondering if this is natural to the healing process if anyone knows?
