I am an American teaching English in Spain. My problem started out with a UTI, then I was untreated by the doctors here and they said it would pass, they said they dont like to give antibiotics for every little thing. I usually drink cranberry juice, and it goes away. Well this has been going on for 4 months now, and they recently found 2 kidney stones 5mm and 6mm. With socialized medicine the way it is, I have been in and out of doing blood and urine tests. Is there anything that I can do to help pass them quicker?? Please help thanks!!
I was told that I would be getting the shock thing done, but I keep being told that I need more bloodwork done and urine tests, and because the socialized medicine thing, I have to wait until APRIL to even see a urologist. Im read folic acid can break down certain types of stones, but I dont know…..

Ever since I was about 14, I have been reoccuringly getting this terrible burning feeling after i pee (but it only comes up every 3-4 months and never two times in a row). It’s not an STD and I doubt it’s a urinary infection (since it doesn’t happen twice in a row).
I will feel as if i still have to urinate even if there’s no more fluids to let out. I will run to the bathroom as if i have to go really bad, but just to just let a little more urine out. It is VERY painful and when I force a little more urine out my body shakes and trembles in pain.
I have no idea why this happens and how to prevent it. If anything I suspect dehydration, kidney stones, and diet habits as a cause.
Any ideas?
As an added note, I once visited a doctor about this at age 17. They found nothing and since it doesn’t happen often they just said it’s not to worry about. But every 3-4 months it will happen again. Any it is very painful.
So, can you diagnose it?

I am currently on a low carb / low calorie diet, and to make up for a possible loss in nutrition I have been taking vitamins every day. I have also been working out a lot and have lost 70-75 lbs in the past 4 months. I recently went through the most painful experience in my life, passing a kidney stone. The doctor said kidney stones can just happen and most likely wasn’t something that I did myself that caused it, however I can’t help but wonder if it had to do with my diet. Or since kidney stones are made up of an excess build up of calcium in your kidneys, maybe it is because I have been taking vitamins every day. I am almost 25 years old. The vitamins I am taking are GNC Mega Men. Is it possible that the kidney stone was cause by my diet, weight loss, or taking vitamins? Thanks in advance for your advice.
