I'm almost 21 weeks pregnant and i have kidney stones for the first time. How can i relieve the pain?

The doctor gave me pain pills and said just drink lots of water and try to pass it. Is there anything i can do for the severe back pain? It keeps me awake all night and being pregnant makes me tired enough so the lack of sleep isn’t helping =( please please please…..does anyone have any advice?

my husband went in several months ago to the ER (he was in extreme pain)for a colon issue and got a cat scan. They found no problems with his digestive system or anything in the cat scan..they told him he should see a gastroenterologist . So he did a few mths later (after insurance had kicked in) and the results oft the cat scan were faxed to the gastroenterologist(sp?) and they told my husband that the cat scan showed that he had kidney stones…

The hospital said NOTHING about kidney stones!! Isn’t it there job to tell him if something was wrong!?!

Someone said that because thats not what he went in for that they didnt HAVE to tell him about it…

The gastroenterologist said the kidney stones shouldn’t get any worse if my hubby changes his diet. so they aren’t an immediate threat. But he could have been working on fixing it MONTHS ago!!

Am I wrong…but I think they should have told him!! Can I get the in trouble for that!?! lol

I know where the kidneys are, and i have some pains in that area.. on my left side.. but are there any other symptoms? I know with appendicitis you feel nauseous on top of the pain… I was wondering if it was the same…

My brother has renal kidney failure and he needs to undergo dialysis treatments and kidney transplant as soon as possible.The doctor said that it cost almost 1 million all in all,but we dont have amount like this,my father was only a farmer tenants and i’m only a production operator.Even i’ll get overtime daily,this is not enough to produce 1 million for my brother.I/we love my brother.What foundation that helps kidney patients, can u suggest me for my brother?I want him to stay and live with us.If only i can give him a 10 years of my life,i could. My cat needs to have a kidney stone removed. Is this a procedure my general vet can perform, (i.e. is it simple such as a spay/neuter) or do I need to go to a specialist. He is also being tested for the possibility of a liver shunt, which I have read will require a difficult surgery by a specialist.

How do they treat kidney stones during pregnancy?

I am 14 weeks pregnant. Have had pain in my left side since Friday, around my kidney area. I’ve already called my doctor yesterday and he didn’t do anything because I don’t have any symptoms of a kidney infection. I called back today, and waiting for them to call me back. To see if they want me to go for tests and possibly a sonogram of the kidney to check for stones. If by chance I do have a kidney stone, how is that treated during pregnancy?

i began to have lower abdominal pains earlier today, about 9 hours ago.
at first i thought maybe it was just menstrual pain, because i usually get those cramps before my period rather than during.
but the pain has moved up to around my belly button and a little above
the pain has not ceased since it began, only when i curl into a fetal position or stand completely still does it slightly ease up.
it almost feels like a flu stomach ache. i feel like i do when i have the flu and get diarrhea, but at the same time its more of a muscle cramp feeling.
the pain has been all around my belly button and lower abdominal area. it hurts to walk, as if with every step i take something inside is bouncing.
i took a hot shower, which didn’t help, i ate pickles, which didn’t help (pickles usually make ease my stomach).
it feels like i’m trying to digest a bunch of rocks.

i’m a sixteen year old female. i have two weeks exactly until i’m supposed to start my period, i haven’t eaten anything out of the ordinary for my usual diet.

i’m thinking maybe a kidney stone(s). if you have any idea of what it might be, even if you agree with me, please let me know.
