I’m still bleeding out every couple days.
Since I’m on Coumadin for a genetic blood disorder, I’m drinking 2-3 bottles worth of tap water per day–in hopes to keep myself flushed and hydrated.
Is there anything else that I can do to reduce the bleeding or help with the repair of my kidneys?
I heard that drinking certain kinds of juice helps, but these these stones are annoying the hell out of me–just bouncing around like a billard ball. (And yes, it DOES hurt to pass them!)
I have loved chocolate all my life and indulge everyday. Recently however, over the last 6 months, I have had 9 kidney stones which are EXTREMELY painful. Several doctors have told me that chocolate contains a large amount of oxalate, which is contributing to the kidney stones. My stones are the calcium oxalate type. Chocolate, coffee, tea, spinach, among other foods are strictly prohibited from my diet. Yet no matter what I do I cannot give up chocolate. I really think I’m addicted to it. I still have 4 stones to pass per last cat scan, yet I won’t give chocolate up. This all sounds stupid, but is it really possible to be addicted to chocolate?
I was diagnosed in the ER with one Tues. night, passed it out of my body Friday. Today (Sat.)having mild back pain again….is it possible that I had more than one stone and they’re just taking awhile to all come loose from my kidney or something? Or is it just likely that the first one left my urinary tract sore? I’m going to a urologist on Thurs.
