My boyfriend and I have been living together for over a year. We are spending a couple of months at my MIL house until we can close our house next month. My MIL practically lives at church. Ive never had a big arguement with her however Im not too happy about the difference in treatment of my bf and his brother. My bf woke up today, with this major pain he was crying. I was scared cause he has a really big pain threshold. We were trying to find out what it was so she gave him some advil. After about an hour of getting ready for church she just left. Well, I convinced him to go to the hospital, as soon as we got there, I texted her various times to tell her how things where doing, She replied about an hour later everytime (wasnt she checking her phone every minute to see how her son is doing) Well, my whole problem is that I think God DOESNT mind if you stay at home trying to see if your son has somethIng serious. Specially if you are there at least 3 times a week. Deep down inside Im glad she didnt even go, I dont even need her at all specially since she is a Jehova’s witness, but I just have a problem with her not caring about him as much as it should be. Is this normal in your family? It turned out to be a kidney stone. I still think she should have been there at least to console him. He said not to worry about her, I really dont need her for anything, its just the continous uncaring attitude toward him compared to his younger brother who is 16 and wrecked our car and wasnt even really punished. But that is another story.
I can accept she is a bad mother, she really doesnt pay my bills, I just dont like her going around thinking she is a good christian. Even my bf has hinted thats just how she is.
I would prefer no guesses, *please*. Please only answer if you are in the health profession or have first-hand knowledged! I had a huge kidney stone dissolved by lithotripsy in early April. For a few weeks prior to the horrific, debilitating pain that came to me as though I had been hit by a huge truck with a gnawing maw, I had had menstrual type cramps, but all around my midriff. Lately I’ve been having some pains in both the left side and right side of my body, about even with my kidneys, but in the side, not back. Here are my questions: 1. Would the CAT scan/X-rays they took 1 1/2 months ago have shown all the stones or just the one that caused the problem and 2) am I having symptoms of kidney stones again? Thanks much.

Good grief, people, I don’t need websites or quotes from websites – my question is quite specific, *especially* about the Xray/CAT scan issue! Come on!
