Can drinking Perrier lead to kidney stones?
I drink 3-5 bottles of Perrier aday for the last 5 years and have a history of kidney stones ( 1 per year). Can the Perrier cause the kidney stones? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?. Any suggestions to cure this problem?
THANKS!!!

No. Perrier is just carbonated spring water. I used to have a problem with kidney stones, I was told to avoild soft drinks not because of carbonation but the sugar. I drink club soda and seltzer all of the time. Much cheaper than Perrier and better quality control. I won’t drink Perrier since so many people became ill from the sanitizer not getting flused from the lines in the bottling plant yeas ago.
Neither Perrier, nor any other beverage has ever been proved to cause kidney stones. Matter of fact, no one knows what causes kidney stones. If you are prone to having kidney stones, doctors will encourage you to stay away from caffeine and carbonated beverages, but no one knows for sure why people get kidney stones. Heavy coffee drinkers have also had this problem, but again there is no proof that the beverage is the cause.
my physiology teacher says you get kidney stones if you dont drink enough water.you can tell if u are not drinking enough water bcuz ur pee color would be yellowish or orange.. but if u are drinking enough water ur pee will be clear..but yellow/orange pee would start to crystalize inside you and if you get enough that is what a kidney stone is and she says to get rid of the crystals you should drink lemonaide
I am in the same boat. Perrier contains way more minerals than regular water. I strongly suspect that since I too down about seven bottles a week this is the culprit. Of particular concern are the levels of Calcium and Magnesium.
Bicarbonates: 320 PPM
Calcium Ion: 150 PPM
Fluoride: 0.12 PPM
Magnesium: 4.2 PPM
Potassium: 1.2 PPM
Sulfates: 43 PPM
Sodium: 11 PPM
If you have kidney stones problem then you have to drink lots of water everyday. You have to drink normally 5 to 6 litter water in a day or coconut water is also best medicine for kidney stones. Every morning if you can drink 2 coconut water then u get very soon result. Thanks for everyone sharing your thoughts.

I don\’t think so. But you should consult with a doctor that\’s for sure.
No. Perrier’s just carbonated water.
Perrier is a carbonated mineral water. There is a distinct difference between mineral water and carbonated water.
Drinking pretty much anything but water will strain your kidneys. Its okay to drink perrier every now and then but I would definitely cut back a bit.
