If you are taking supplemental calcium pills for your bones, maybe take lower doses more often during the day rather than 1000mg all at once (ie spread the dose out…to say one pill of 500mg in the AM and one in the PM or one 250mg pill with each meal and at bedtime). And make sure to take enough water/fluids during the day to help break down alkali and keep them dissolved. Ask you doctor first. I heard that taking supplemental calcium can increase your chances for stones, but you still have to have calcium for your bones.
