Is a kidney stent supposed to feel weird?
Ok so I got surgery today to get rid of my kidney stones and I had a kidney stent put in with a string hanging out. So is it supposed to feel like its about to fall out or something?

Kidney stents are the tube-like internal drainage between the kidney and the bladder. It is designed just like that, and it’s normal for you to feel it’s presence.
You shouldn’t worry a thing!
no, thats a tube like internal drainage.
When you have a stent in your kidney for 3 or 4 months it’s pure hell. People that never had to walk thru this kind of hell would say it’s just this and it’s just that. For people that never enjoyed the experience try this…stick a straw up into your bladder and keep it there till you can’t stand it. And if you should get an infection from it go to the hospital and tell them how much pain your in…baa ha ….they treat you like “ok your going over board with this because stents are really nothing,do you really,I mean really need the hydromorphone?”
I had a stent installed a weed and a half ago and right out of surgery I felt I was going to wet myself. Now this is for kidney stones. I am going pee every 10 to 20 min and it is blood red. I guess it’s normal. It feels like there is pressure all the time. I will only have it in for a couple more weeks and it’s a definitely a bother. I feel for anyone that has to have it in for any amount of time. The Drs say it’s nothing but my kids have straws that are twisted and bent around and it feels like they shoved that in my. I am very sore still from the install. I don’t wish this on anyone. But I guess it got rid of the major pain but it about puts me in tears just before and right after I pee.
