Most people with kidney stones will urinate them out without any treatment. The doctor can perform something called extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy if the stone is too large to pass on its own. Lithotripsy is performed with a special machine that shoots high intensity sound waves through the skin to the kidney stone to help break it up. The person will then urinate the smaller pieces of the stone. Less commonly, doctors may perform something called a Ureterorenoscopy with stone retrieval and maybe stent placement. Ureterorenoscopy is performed by inserting a small camera into the urethra that is passed through the bladder and into the ureters. This is the treatment you are referring to, but most people with kidney stones are not treated with this.

You have to pee kidney stones out and it hurts like a B*tch.

When the kidney stones are to big they use some kind of machine that breaks it up into smaller pieces. They cant just go in and pull them out.

They will try to "flush" it out first by having you increase your fluid intake and use a strainer to strain your urine and check to see if it comes out. If it is a large stone, they may do a procedure called lithotripsy, where they kind of like use vibration to try to break up the stone into smaller pieces so they can come out.
