What is wrong with my cat? Is it kidney stones?

So recently over the past 3 days my cat has been acting weird.
He cannot seem to urinate and sometimes there like droplets of red fluid. Now he’s like going anywhere he wants trying to urinate and he can’t seem to. Last night he spent the night in lying in his litterbox and this morning in a cardboard box. He seems so weak & I don’t know what to do. He doesn’t want to eat or drink anything. I just found him foaming at the mouth. :O

Are there any home remedies I can do to help him? And what could of caused this?
My parents don’t want to pay like 0 for a surgery/vet visit or anything. 🙁
I don’t know if this helps but my dad sometimes lets him out to explore the backyard on a leash. Plus my mom fed him the leftovers in a tuna fish can. Can overfeeding him also be a factor?

He’s like 2 years old.
This has happened before like a week ago before this. We gave it this medicine we bought from this asian medicine store and he was cured.

Now it’s up again..
-sigh-

I was hoping you wouldn’t say that. 🙁
I guess we’re sending it to the humane society so they can take care of it.

My parents aren’t willing to pay for the vet..
Thanks everyone.

I’ll miss my cat. 🙁

You need to take your cat to the vet NOW. It could be many things, but from what you said it sounds like he has urinary crystals. This stops him from being able to pee, that pee (which is obviously his body’s waste) is being kept inside of him and he will start to go in to kidney failure if you leave it. Not only is kidney failure expensive to treat (he would need IV fluids, special liver food for the rest of his life etc.) it can KILL him! It is also EXTREMELY painful to have urinary crystals. PLEASE take him to the vet ASAP. We had a couple of older ladies who left their cat for three days after he started showing visible signs of urinary crystals and he was almost dead when they brought him in. As for the asian medicine, what most likely happened was some crystals managed to pass and he could pee again, but the crystals build up and eventually they will not pass. If he does not eat/drink for 48hrs, he will not survive for much longer.

    Good luck,

    Aki

I love to give out home remedies and save people from a huge vet bill, but in this case there is no home remedy. Sorry you’ll have to take him to the vet.

This sounds a lot like a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) to me. There are no home remedies if this is what it is, I’m sorry. You’ll have to take him to the vet if you think this is what he has.

My cat has had UTI, and he lost his appetite completely and could not urinate. His brother died from this infection, it will not go away on its own!!

I’m linking to a site with info. about the disease.

    Good Luck!
