Husband is on three meds for spinal injury…can his medication causes kidney stones…he has been drinking tons of mountain dew and green ice tea and nuts alot too lately..like living off of it…can anything on this list cause kideny stones because he’s got it..and he doesn’t think that soda can cause it?

I know that after my Dad had kidney stones, the docs had him stop drinking soda and tea. So it’s definitely possible! (He was miserable, they were ALL he drank before.)

Yes it can help kidney stones form which is why they should have tested his stones in the lab to see what they were made of. Not all stones are the same but yes he should avoid caffinated beverages.

BY DRINKING TO MUCH SODA IT CAN CAUSE YOUR KIDNEYS TO FAILS. IT SOUNDS LIKE THAT HIS KIDNEYS IS NOT FLUSH EVERYDAY. WHEN DRINKING SODDA MAKE SURE THAT HE DRINKS WATER AFTER THAT. I HOPE WHEN HE DRINKS SODA, HOPE HE DON’T GET BUMP ON HIS FACE AND THAT WILL TELL THAT HE REALLY DRINK TO MUCH OF IT.
