My mom has been diagnosed with Kidney stones, she is so weak now?

She can’t even get out of bed now. Yesterday she had an attack, with extreme stomach pain. Now she is on an antibiotic. She can’t eat, she feels like throwing up. She is very weak. What can she do to feel stronger, and what can I do to help her?

    Kidney stones
Stones in the urinary tract may cause pain, bleeding, obstruction of urine flow, or an infection. Depending on where a stone forms, it may be called a kidney stone or bladder stone. The process of stone formation is called urolithiasis.
Every year, about 1 out of 1,000 adults in the United States is hospitalized because of stones in the urinary tract. Stones may form because the urine becomes too saturated with salts that can form stones or because the urine lacks the normal inhibitors of stone formation. About 80 percent of the stones are composed of calcium; the remainder, of various substances, including uric acid, cystine, and struvite. Struvite stones–a mixture of magnesium, ammonium, and phosphate–are also called infection stones, because they form only in infected urine. Stones vary in size from too small to be seen with the eye alone to 1 inch or more in diameter.

    Pray.
My dad has kidney stones too, the most you can do is pray to God.
Thats what I did, and it went just fine 😀

Kidney stones, not too serious. Kidney stones are known to cause extreme amounts of pain, especially to older people. Two things to do: 1. Have your mom drink copious amounts of water, not liquids (juices, milk, soda) but WATER. 2. Have your mom take prescribed pain medication from a doctor or a pharmacy. Kidney stones happen, just have to wait for them to pass, so water (to get rid of the stones) and pain medication (to get out of bed).

Aw, your poor mother! Tell her I feel her pain and feel sorry for her.

Anyways, I would say she should do the following-
    -Eat healthy food.
    -Take vitamins.
    -Sleep a lot.
    -Don’t rush when moving
-Slowly try to start moving and being normal again.
-Try moving her legs in bed, moving arms/lifting small weights (2 lb)
-Try not to worry (Sounds weird but worrying tires some people)
-PRAY!!!! Miracles DO happen. Just pray to God she will feel better. Pray to dead relatives/friends to help her.

Talk to a doctor. They should know some way to get her back to life!

So, try doing all of the above in moderation, and she should be good!

Oh, poor thing. I know those hurt so bad. My mom has had kidney stones for years, and the good news is-though she is in pain right now, eventually she will pass them and it will be almost instant relief. My mom gets a bad one every 6 months or so. She usually gets them x-rays and the small ones she passes, and the large ones require either a surgery or a procedure using sound waves.
Some of the things she has tried over the years:actifvities that move you around such as riding a lawnmower, drinking a beer (this makes you pee alot and can sometimes help-only one or two though!).
As far as what you can do- just help her out aorund the house, help with siblings, pets, cokking, cleaning, laundry, etc. Make sure she drinks plenty of water and has proper nutrition. Good Luck!
