how can you pass a kidney stone faster?

this is my 5th one, i’m trying to ‘catch’ the stone when i pass it to find out what’s causing them. i have a graduation party to give my daughter tomorrow, and i’m in horrible pain. but, i don’t think there’s a way to make it move any faster. i’m drinking lots of fluids and taking my pain medication to tolerate the pain.
so, thank you for your time!!!

Okay, ask your doctor about extraporporeal shockwave lithotripsy, believe me, it’s worth it.

your fifth stone?!!! I suggest you and your doctor figure out why they keep forming. Over time, stones cause scar tissue and damage to the ureters and will lead to greater issues when you are older. High acid foods and juices will help to dissolve and prevent future occurences.

sounds to me that if you are drinking a lot of water then there isn’t anything else that you can do to help pass the stone quickly. All I can tell you is drink water and lot of it. The more water you srink the better off you are going to be. You can also try to drink tea. Tea helps to clean your kidneys.

You need to put some kind of silk-screen over the toilet when you pee. I heard that’s how they catch them, in the hospital.

How to pass them, I don’t know. If you can entertain it though, I’ll take a stab, but this is completely off the top of my head: kidney stones are made out of calcium carbonate, the same thing tums are made out of. Tums dissolve in stomach acids, so maybe more acidic things (vinegar, citric acid, etc.) will break it down some. One second thought, maybe figuring out a way to expand your urethra (cringing) that would help pass it.

Next time you gotta go (make sure you have a lot of fluid inside)
Rise up from a relaxed state and do some body movements, Swaying hips, stretching back, even jumping up and down.
Then squat down in a relaxed way as much as possible, and hope for the best. (You might want to take some pain meds first).

To my knowledge there no way to hurry them up. I have had six and have been stone free for about six years. Some will not pass. The last one I had was blasted out with sound waves. Not very pain full. Have you had an X-ray to verify a stone. I now have a cyst on my kidney and it feels a lot like a stone.

You can remove it with Lasers quickly. Doctors advise is the best. Drink lots of beer.

I’ve had alot of kidney infections. They happen EVERYtime I get sick, but this is my first stone. Also looking for a way to speed up passing it. So far it’s passed my bladder, but not my body. It seems to be stuck all the way at the end and I dont think it’s ever gonna come out. I know water is important, and I say as long as your drinking lots of it go ahead and try the beer and orange juice thing to. Dont think it can hurt anymore than it already does! Everybody hang in there! Hell, I’m doing jumping jacks to try to get this thing out!
