Can I go to the gym if I have a kidney stone?

Or is working out just a bad idea?

I know the common sense rule would be "if it hurts, stop doing it". But is there a glaringly obvious reason not to work out if there are rocks in your kidneys? I don’t want to do something stupid and tear anything in there.

I wouldn’t until I have them removed. You could ruin kidneys. See a Dr.as this is important. Just walk for now and drink cranberry juice. Stay away from calcium.

Medication may be prescribed for certain types of stones, and compliance with taking the medication is a must to reduce the risk of future stone episodes

    I wouldn’t do it.

That sounds really risky, what if you have to pass the stone at the gym?

    Super embarassing.

Super painful to pass a kidney stone…..better do a kidney detox or get it lasered quick.

Do not go to the gym if you are in pain from a kidney stone. Your body works harder and needs to pass waste products faster and the stone blocks the path.

If you have no pain, just stones in your kidneys, you can exercise.

You should be able to get the stones pulverised with ultrasonics if you can afford the treatment.

DEFINTELY DONt. IT will tear something.
