How to pass a kidney stone? May be TMI, sorry!?

Let me start by saying I’m a 26-year old female, I know it’s more common for males to have kidney stones, but never the less I have several, but only one that is currently causing problems. I have been to the Dr. and had tests run, the problem stone WAS lodged in my left uterer, but I can tell that it has moved since then and it feels like it is stuck in my urethra, like it’s almost about to come out. Any ideas/tips/suggestions on how to get it to pass? I know it sounds silly, but I’ve tried going for a bumpy car ride (Dr.’s suggestion), jumping up and down (sounds stupid I know!), pushing really hard when urinating, drinking tons and tons of water a day…what else can I do? I would really like to pass it on my own and not have anything invasive done. Thanks! 🙂
Nikki – I never thought of that! Maybe if it is close to coming out soaking in the bath may help. It’s worth a try anyways 🙂

Ok I’m not sure if this was just a fluke or not but worth a try. I had a kidney stone when I was younger and lost it in the bath tub….silly I know but you may try it. Good luck

Drink lots of water and cranberry juice to ward off any UTI or kidney infection. Really that is all you can do. You could go to the hospital for an IV.
