		<description>A person can not live in complete kidney failure, so just as it says when the kidneys stop working completely the heart then fails as well.  Your mom&#039;s condition is considered chronic kidney disease or CKD and if her glomerular filtration rate is 11% then she is in stage 4 or 5 of chronic kidney disease and stage 5 is the last stage and requires dialysis.  Survival rate depends on if there are other disease processes as well but survival rate does decrease as kidney function decreases.  Ill pray for you and your mom! She has a poor prognosis but saying she only has 6 months would just be a guess, she could live 2 years or longer.  Just prepare for the worst but enjoy the time you have left.</description>
