Is this a normal side effect from my kidney stone?
I was diagnosed with a kidney stone last week. I woke up with pain and burning in my lower abdomen (guessing my bladder). The pain in my back has been gone for a couple days and had thought i passed the stone. Then this happens this morning. Does it mean im passing the stone? Or is this a complication?

When you start to pass a kidney stone, there will be little doubt about what is happening. The pain will hit you like an express train. It will start off in your back — either to the left or right — just below your rib cage and eventually it will appear to move right through you and ends up either on your left or right hand groin. When this starts to happen, it is an indication you are starting to pass the stone.
Passing the stone can take a few hours or many. If you find that your urine turns red or becomes dark, that’s a sign the stone has punctured the delicate lining of the urinary tract, linking the kidney with the bladder. Should you want to urinate, but find yourself unable, this is a sign that your stone has got stuck in the urinary tract and has sealed off the flow of urine from the kidney.
This is a very serious state of affairs and you should seek urgent medical attention, because urine that cannot drain from the kidney can flow back and cause a dangerous infection, which could permanently damage your kidney if not quickly treated.
My mom had a kidney stone and All I do know is that it does hurt after you go in to get diagnosed she had many pains but they soon left after days went by. Im not sure about the passing of stone. If your still in pain like after 2 weeks then you should go see a doctor.
