It should go away in just a few days have her drink a glass a day of cranberry juice it will help balance the PH of the urine and really help to clear up the infection. In the mean time i would call the DR back if she doesn’t have any relief soon then maybe he needs to change her meds.
It all depends on how severe the infection is. If it is getting worse, and not better, then the antibiotics may not be working, suggest to her md that she take a stronger antibiotic.
Try a kidney cleanse.

I have a simular situation, had been running a low grade fever for a few days, then Saturday night it spiked up to the 104-105 degree area, I went to the ER on Sunday they did the whole urinalysis, which came back showin severe UTI. Gave me an injection of antibiotics and on for pain and sent me home with a 5 day course of oral antibiotics. I am still having fever up to 102-103, nausea, headache, and back pain. Is this normal?
